Remission of Tuition Fees and Scholarships

For international students Kwansei Gakuin University offers scholarships and partial remission of tuition. The outline below refers only to international (foreign) students. Japanese students should refer to the Japanese-language version of the IBA homepage.

Remission of Tuition

All self-financed international students - i.e. international students whose residence status is ‘College Student’ (ryuugakusei) and who are not in receipt of Japanese Government scholarships – are entitled to a 30% remission of tuition.

Scholarships
Approximately 70% of the number of international students will be offered scholarships each year.
There are two categories of scholarship, ‘A’ and ‘B’. The value of Category ‘A’ scholarships is one-half of tuition fees, after the fee remission referred to above, while Category ‘B’ scholarships cover the full value of tuition fees after remission.
Applications for the scholarships will not be accepted from students who have completed the standard term of study in the IBA (two years).
Applications are accepted in June each year, and selection carried out in July, with awards being made in October.
Scholarships are also offered by the Japanese Government and by other organizations.
